Meet the Instructor

SJ aka Coach Beat’er Pan (they/her) has been roller skating most of their life. In 2010 she started playing roller derby until she had an injury in 2012. She picked up skating again in 2017 and hasn’t looked back! In 2019 Beat’er became the Head Coach and CEO of High Tide Derby in Garden Grove, CA and has been coaching adult skaters ever since. In the summer of 2022, High Tide introduced a junior league program where Beat’er was an assistant coach. They have been working with kids on and off since 2005 and are excited to offer this new program to the kids of OC in 2024!
